It's a great time to upgrade your HVAC equipment to energy-efficient systems. While the federal government has extended tax credits for various HVAC-related equipment, the incentives are not at the same levels as 2010. Homeowners shouldn’t let that fact dissuade them, however. With additional rebates available from HVAC companies, incentives at the local level and those from utility companies, a conscientious homeowner can get big savings.
That’s where Rodenhiser steps in, because we want our customers to get the most savings possible off the price of equipment and installation, as well as savings from energy-efficient equipment.
Currently, you can take advantage of Rodenhiser’s spring specials. We have discounts running through June, and you can profit from savings on heating and cooling systems, drain cleaning, and installation on tankless water heaters or conventional water heaters.
In existing residential homes you can get all kinds of rebates through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant. The program sends a representative to your home to conduct a free energy audit. From the findings of the audit, the program will make and pay for changes to improve lighting, weatherization, duct and air sealing, and insulation, up to $2,600.
Utility companies continue to provide significant rebates for energy-efficiency equipment. One example, NSTAR Electric, which serves Boston and its surrounding areas, offers a maximum of $2,000 for eligible products, such as lighting, heat pumps, duct and air sealing, insulation, programmable thermostats, air cleaners, central air conditioning and refrigerators. NSTAR's website describes the program and incentives in detail.
At all levels, the largest rebates are still reserved for alternative energy sources, like geothermal or solar. Whatever changes you're considering, Rodenhiser would like to help you get the most savings possible on your purchases. No matter where you live in the greater Boston area, you can access available incentive programs. Let us make the process a bit easier. Contact us, and we’ll help you find qualifying rebates.
